Do you have an opinion on a TTRPG topic you’d like to share with the world? Do you have a tip for fellow game masters or players that could make their next game even more fun? Or do you simply want to tell a funny experience that helped you grow as a TTRPG gamer? We want to hear it! At RPG Counterpoint, we value all voices and want to enrich the knowledge of the TTRPG community. To do that, we need to hear from you!
Email rpgcounterpoint@gmail.com with your pitch and draft that follows these formatting guidelines:
- Documents should be in Microsoft Word or Google Doc (with open visibility, not private).
- All proposed blogs should be between 1,000 and 1,500 words. If your blog is significantly long, we can discuss options to split the blog into a mini-series.
- Name and title of blog at the top of the document.
- The blog will be transferred to our site, so any fancy formatting may not translate, so the less the better.
- Include an author bio at the very end of the post. This is a short (2-4 sentence) introduction to who you are and your passion for TTRPG. If you’re a content creator, include social media links for readers to follow.
- Any images you want to have included with the blog must be open-sourced and included in a separate attachment from the document. DO NOT put images in the document itself, or they won’t be included with the post.
So, what happens after you submit your draft? Our fearless leader, Jared B., will contact you and let you know that we’ve received your submission. Your draft will be uploaded to a private Google Drive folder. It’ll then be plugged into our blog schedule and assigned to an editor. The editor will create “track changes” within the document for you (the author) to accept or reject. Our head editor will let you know when these suggested edits are ready for your review. At that time, you can make any minor last-minute changes to your draft. Once all the edits have been cleared, the post will be scheduled for the blog.
Then, tell all your friends! We welcome all returning guest authors and want to hear from you as often as you have content to share.
So, what are you waiting for? Send us your work and get published on the RPG Counterpoint Blog!
